Greetings-
We have a SHarePoint 2007 site and want to publish a few dozen videos for internal users.
I am thinking that we should convert the WMV files to AVI and place them on the Wing FTP server in a directory that has access from one account. Then we would build a link to these files with a URL that looks something like:
FTP://user:pass@ftp.company.com/file1.avi except that isn't working.
Anyone have thoughts on how we can link to files for download so they will stream?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Linking to files via FTP
Is it possible to build a link with a syntax like:
http://127.0.0.1/loginok.html?username=user&password=pwd/file path
I have tried this and I can't get it to work. I understand that the web download function is for a D/L tool like flashget... thanks.

Re: Linking to files via FTP
Your ftp download link format is right, please make sure your file is under the root folder. You can download a file from our demo server like this:
ftp://demo-user:demo-user@demo.wftpserver.com/music/11.love.mp3
BTW, Wing FTP Server do not support direct HTTP download link.
