Hello
I tried to install evaluation in Linux OpenVZ container virtual machine (Debian, CentOS both 64 and 32 bit).
Starting wftpdserver does nothing, no error messages, 0 for return code but server is not running.
I tried strace but it prints just about the same as on full virtual machine (KVM) where server runs without problem.
I would like to run FTP server in my production environment on OpenVZ container for greater efficiency.
Any suggestions how to make it work?
Regards
Ivan

Re: Running server in OpenVZ container
We do not have OpenVZ container environment, so we can't test WingFTP with it. But I believe that Wing FTP Server is compatible with CentOS.

Re: Running server in OpenVZ container
The easiest way to get OpenVZ containers is to install Proxmox distribution.

It also works inside any virtual machine (like VirtualBox, VmWare, Xen, KVM ...) so no physical machine is needed to get it running.
