Will Wing FTP Server allow us to tie our IP address to a site domain name by Oct-2015 so we can use certificates issued by trusted CAs? I believe the Industry will no longer issue certificates for sites that do not have domain names by Oct.

Do you want to use a wildcard SSL cert? If it is a standard PEM format cert, you can use it directly, else, you can use this online tool to convert it into standard PEM format: https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-converter.html" rel="nofollow

Sorry, I didn't explain my question properly. Currently, users can only connect to my Wing FTP Server by typing the IP address in their web client/browser (https is being used) instead of typing a domain name (e.g. http://www.google.com" rel="nofollow). My understanding is that Wing FTP Server can only be configured/identified by an IP address instead of via a domain name. Beginning in Oct-2015, CAs will no longer issue certs for IP addresses directly; certs will only be issued for domain names. So, will future versions of Wing FTP Server allow us to identify our server by a domain name instead of the IP address, i.e. will remote clients be able to access our Wing FTP Server by typing the domain name into their client software vs the IP address? Thanks!

Yes, of course you can visit the web client by the domain name, like our demo server: http://demo.wftpserver.com/" rel="nofollow

You just need to configure your DNS record.
