Different administrators for differentedomains

Post by Domingo »

Is it possible to have different administrator with rights to make new users accounts and to manage their own domains?
Superadmin: manage everything and he can see all
Admin 1: manage example1.com and their users. He can create new users but he can’t see domains and users of Admin 2.
Admin 2: manage example2.com and their users. He can create new users but he can’t see domains and users of Admin 1.

I am testing wingftp but I do not know how to do that. Probably is not possible.

Thank you very much.

For some security reason, this feature will be delay to implement.

I wanted to make the same suggestion, here's what I'm looking for:

Something that would be cool is if I could have “Administrators” that can only manage/create users in specified “domains”. Here is ultimately what I think would be cool:
  • -Create an Administrator who only has access to “domain2”
  • -Checkboxes I can toggle providing them access to:
    • -Manage entire domain settings
    • -Manage Users
    • -Manage Groups
    • -Manage Temp Bans
    • -Manage Event Manager
    • -View Domain Status
    • -View Domain Log
    • -View Activity
    • -View Graphs
I’d like to be the “master administrator”, but be able to delegate some management rights, such as user creation, to other people.

Hi, we will add "Domain Admin" feature in the next version, but it may be a bit different between what you hope. Because there are many security issues need to care.
