SSL issue

Hi,
I have purchased a secure wildcard SSL certificate from goDaddy.
When I did that I used exchange to generate the certificate request since I wanted the certificate for remote web mail access as well as for other sites. Now I want to use this certificate for Wing FTP as well, how do I do that?

I only get "Invalid SSL Certificate file" as the error message in the console.
I'm guessing the problem lies with the fact that I do not have a .key file.

regards,
keif

Yes I have, but that implies generating the certificate from the request craeted by Wing FTP.
In my case I allready have a generated certificate that I want to use.

Yes, I know, but your existed certificate may be not compatible with Wing FTP Server, you had better request the CSR file via Wing FTP Server, then send the CSR file to godaddy, then generate the SSL cert from him. That's not difficult.

I surely do not wish to reissue the certificate since I'm using it for remote e-mail access.

However I found the issue and was able to fix it.

1) After installing the certificate on exchange, open mmc on computer and select the certificate from the personal store
2) Export the certificate with it's private key and select to include all certificates
3) Follow this guide to convert the .pfx file to pem format
[url]http://help.globalscape.com/help/eft5/a ... em.htm[url]
4) install the pem certificate in Wing FTP.

A feature to ask for in WingFTP is the ability to use .pfx certificate files

Wing FTP Server does not support .pfx certificate.

The easiest solution is: You can keep your original cert file, just request a certificate for your sub domain, like our site "demo.wftpserver.com", we also requested a ssl cert from godaddy.
