SSH Key Placement

Post by Mterb1 »

I have created a new SSH key and trying to add it to the server. I have placed the file under d:\Program files (x86)\wing ftp server

When i browse out to that directory and select the file it comes back and says "Invalid file path!"

I have also placed the new ssh key in a directory on the d:\ssh key and when i browse to that directory i also get the message that says "Invalid file path!"

I am doing something wrong.

Do you mean the SSH host key? You just need to create the host key under "Domain > Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > Add SSH Key > Create Host Key File".

So I asked whether you use it for SSH host key or SSH public key authentication, if it is for SSH host key, just create it under "Domain > Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > Add SSH Key > Create Host Key File".

They are totally different, if you mean the ssh public key authentication, then just have a look on this KB article: http://www.wftpserver.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=502" rel="nofollow
