Receive message "too many users logged onto this account"

We are currently on release 4.0.6 Linux 64 bit.

We have a user that is setup with a connection limit for the maximum number of sessions per user account set to 5. This user is not currently logged into the application. They receive the message "too many users logged onto this account" when they attempt to login. If we set the connection limit for this user to 6 sessions they are able to login.

This also happens occasionally for other users. They are not able to login unless we increase their connection limit. System does not seem to reset when certain users are no longer active.

Maybe other people logged in with web client, you can watch the online sessions at "Domain > Logs & Status > Activity".

The user limit is currently set at 6.
1) I successfully logged into the account as the user.
2) I logged in as an administrator in another browser and viewed the online sessions. The user was on the activity screen.
3) I logged out as the user. At this point they are removed from the activity screen.
4) I changed the user's limit to 5.
5) I attempted to login again as the user and received the message "too many users logged onto this account". At this point they are not listed on the activity screen.
6) I changed the users limit back to 6.
7) I successfully logged into the account as the user.

OK, please upgrade to the latest version first, and then create a new user account and test it again.

We still have this issue. We have upgraded to release 4.1.3 Linux 64 bit.

Connection limit for user set to 1 session.
User cannot log in and they do not appear on the activity screen.
Increased limit to 2 sessions and they are able to login.

It is working fine for most of our users. This is one of our users that has reported this problem. The only way he can get access is if I increase his limit. As time goes on we experience more and more users with the same problem. If I reboot the server everything corrects itself. We want each user to have a limit of 1 but this issue requires us to keep increasing individual user limits until we finally reboot the server. We then need to go back to each users profile and set it back to 1.

Do you use group-level or domain-level limitation? Or any other special settings?

We use the user connection limit setting the max number of sessions per user account to 1. No other special limit settings.

We are also seeing this problem now for users where we have the limit set to "0" (no limit). Restarting the server corrects the issue.
